End of the vine tying in the Marc Chauvet vineyards

Last week, Nicolas, Yves and Laetitia finished the tying of the vines.

This operation takes place immediately after pruning, early spring, for about 3 weeks. It consists of attaching the branches of vine and the strands at the feet of the vines to a wire support, using a clamp to bind, to avoid breakage due to the wind. It also allows to manage the vegetation to give a correct form at the foot of vine and promotes a better distribution of the grape bunches. Vine strands are thus lying along the wires that guide them during growth.
